Nintendo’s Wii ends marriage.

November 22, 2007 at 6:39 am | Posted in Games | Leave a comment

This, is one of the oddest news stories concerning a videogames console I have ever heard. A US Soldier who recently returned from the war in Iraq has filed a divorce against his wife after discovering a Mii that he didn’t create. After checking updates and messages he realized that many hours of Wii Sports had been played with his wifes Mii and this other mysterious Mii. After further investigation he found out his wife had been getting a bit too friendly with some proffesional bowler guy, and immediatley filed for a divorce.

Something you don’t hear everyday thats for sure. Looks like the Wii has a new use….detecting weather your spouse is faithful or not >.<  Get the full story at The Register (Yahoo)

Naruto Shippuuden: Narutimett Accel 2

September 4, 2007 at 3:25 pm | Posted in Anime, Games | 5 Comments

Well, we all knew it was coming. However, I doubt anyone knew it would come this quickly. Yes, Naruto Accel 2 has been announced by Cyberconnect 2 and it’s set to be released at the end of this year. Thats pretty damn quicky considering it’s a Narutimett game. Usually they are annual, but Naruto Accel was released in April of this year so there only really an 8 month difference between the two games. According to Shounen Jump, Accel 2 will have a total of 62 characters which is about 12 more than the original Accel game. Post time skip Sasuke has been confirmed as a playable character which has made me insanley happy. But, who could the rest of the characters be? I’m guessting it’s going to be a bit like Narutimett Hero 2 and have some movie characters in it. Hopefully the Shippuuden anime will be far enough by December for the game to have Yamato, Sai and maybe 2,3 and 4 tail Kyuubi Naruto

Ever since I bought Narutimett Hero 2 I’ve been in love with Narutimett games and have been buying them as they come out, and after buying Accel, I know Accel 2 is bound to be amazing. As soon as I get the game I will review just as I did with Accel and do a full length review so expect that in November/December time. If you want to follow Cyberconnect 2’s updates on the games progress, check out Narutimett Accel 2’s Official Website .

Masterpiece of Shunya Yamashita: Kokona (Cocona)

September 3, 2007 at 4:32 pm | Posted in Bishoujo, Figures | Leave a comment

This year has seen a wave of Shunya Yamashita figures such as Rudy and, probably one of the most talked about figures of this year, Mirei-san. Even though we are moving into the 4th and final quater of 2007 there are still many figures to look forward to. One of these figures is Kokona (Some spell it Cocona but the official spelling hasn’t seemed to have popped up yet). Kokona is another Shunya Yamashita designed figure and as the name suggests, this figure really does look like a masterpiece. Measuring at 25cm tall, Kokona is set to be released this October for around 5,000 JPY (roughly £23) and is being brought to us by Movic. I prefer Kokona to Mirei despite Mirei being one of the sexiest figures in exsistance. Huge swords and revieling armour  sit very well with me so I pre-ordered Kokona the other day from HLJ. If your early with your pre-order you can benefit from the “Early Bird” deal and get a whole 5% off of the figure 0.0 October really cant come soon enough and as soon as October does come and I get the figure, look forward to seeing a detailed review of Kokona with photo’s.

Back from Japan and ready to rumble

September 3, 2007 at 5:36 am | Posted in General | 2 Comments

I’m back from Japan and ready for a new working year. I actually got back from Japan on Thursday but I’ve been catching up with a number of things, therefore this post is extremely late. Was really impressed with Japan. The country seems to work and run so smoothly compared to England (I’m not embarrassed to say I live in this pathetic excuse for a country). Definatley going to go back again when I can get the money together to pay for myself. I brang back a large amount of anime goods and manga from Akihabara including a few DS games that I will be reviewing over the next couple of weeks.

Before I left for Japan I promised a triple post but due to packing and other things, I never got the chance, so I would like to once again apologize for not going through with things I say >.<

On a side note I’d also like to say that this year I’ve decided to work a lot harder because It’s my GCSE year but also I will be working on the blog to make it as nice to view as possible. Therefore as I’ve said many times, I will get back into the routine of posting at least once every morning ^ ^ So heres to a fresh start! Kanpai! >=D

To start off with todays triple post, I would like to inform you all about a Forum that me and some friends of mine have set up. It’s called Otaku Kakumei which means Otaku Revolution. Judging by the name I know that you can all tell what It’s about already. Everything Otaku! At first It was just a way for my circle of friends and I to keep in touch with our friend Robert( Proud owner of Nandeman),who left for Japan on Sunday for a whole 5 months. But then we got to thinking and have made It one big forum.

We only have a few members at the moment but in the future we would love hundreds, even thousands of members come together and ramble on all day about various Otaku hobbies. So, if your interested, head over to Otaku Kakumei and sign up ASAP! xD

D.C.II.P.S ( Da Capo II Plus Situation )

August 4, 2007 at 10:55 am | Posted in Bishoujo, Games | 4 Comments

Was doing poking around on Kadokawa Shoten this morning and came across details on a new visual novel game for the PS2. This one is a remake of the the 2006 PC game D.C.II (Da Capo II). The reason why it interested me so much was because I began watching the anime of D.C ( Da Capo ) and recently heard news about D.C.II being made into an anime.

The remake of D.C.II is to be called D.C.II.P.S ( Da Capo II Plus Situation ). Judging by the name, I’m assuming it will have scenario’s the original PC Eroge didn’t have or some sort of extra content. Since I haven’t played the PC game I’m not too sure of the story but I do know it set a number of years after D.C and is set on the same island,Hatsunejima, the island where cherry blossoms are always in bloom. The bishoujo in the game are some of the best I’ve seen, my favourite being Shirokawa Nanaka (pink haired girl). D.C.II.P.S is due for release some time in 2008 (what a wait) and is being handeled by Circus who made D.C , D.C.II as well as its fan discs. If you want more information or want to look at the lovley bishoujo you will be chatting up in the game, head over to either the D.C.II.P.S Webpage or the D.C.II Webpage.

I leave you with wondeful CG’s from the PC version.

There needs to be more Tsuruya figures!. Alter really have amazed me recently what with Exelica and a number of other figures in thier line up. Trigger Heart Exelica Figure

August 2, 2007 at 2:44 pm | Posted in Bishoujo, Figures, Games | 2 Comments

Upon surfing the vast information super highway commonly known as interweb, I stumbled across a new figure being produced by Alter. The figure is of Exelica from the Dreamcast Shooter, Trigger Heart Exelica. Never played this game in my life, neither do I know anything about the characters but, what I do know is that this figure looks amazing. I’ve been wowed by a fair few figures this year but Exelica stands out as one of the best I’ve seen. I haven’t been able to find a concrete release date, some sites say December and some October but It’s safe to say that Exelica will be gracing our shelves come Q4 2007. Retailing at around 15,000 JPY, she’s up for pre-order as of today , although I can’t find any english sites where this is possible. As soo as I do, I will update this post but for now, enjoy the brilliant photographs courtesy of Warashi.

Japan Trip

August 2, 2007 at 6:44 am | Posted in Japan | 1 Comment

Never thought I’d been saying this so soon, but I wanted to do a post informing readers that I’m going to Japan at the end of August. I will be going on the 22nd and will be coming back on the 29th. Along with the people I am travelling with, I will be staying in Tokyo ( still need to book the hotel but the district will most likley be shinjuku ). By some luck we managed to get cheap flights thanks to someone in the family who works for British Airways and eventually, through months of perstering my folks, got the go ahead. During that week, all posts will stop but I plan on doing loads of posts about my trip when I get back ^ ^

Capcom Polls

August 2, 2007 at 6:33 am | Posted in Games | Leave a comment

Since all of you readers are Otaku I assume you play videogames and are familiar with Capcom’s brilliant Megaman franchise. I’m a big fan of Megaman, especially the EXE. series so when I found this poll I was pretty excited and thought I’d share It with you all. Capcom have decided they want us, the fans, to decide what platform we would like to see a future Megaman game on. I suppose when the results are in, they will get to work on making a new Megaman game on the most popular platform. Comes to no suprise that the Wii is winning and the PS3 is struggling, as is the Xbox 360. Seems that in Japan, Nintendo rule to gaming industry. If you would like to vote, just head over to Capcoms official Rockman Webpage .
